Work Experience

1973 - 2008  Artistic photographer in the theatre industry throughout Australia

     Using  photography as a lighting effect with slide projectors. I worked in most theatre forms including drama, dance, opera etc. I also did a little teaching of theatre craft and photography and wrote a few magazine articles on special effects photography and theatre projection.

2008-2020 I moved to Wuhan and began a career of teaching English.

     I have taught at City College, Wuhan College of Foreign Languages and Business, WenHua University, and Hubei University of Technology. I have also taught young children, from 3 to 14, privately. I spent two semesters teaching at a kindergarten near City College as a favour for a friend. All my teaching has focused mainly on spoken English although I have also taught academic writing, English literature and humanism. I have a reasonably good knowledge of English grammar, phonetics and phonology.
